Prep For Movie Poster

(Before 1960)
The Brain Eaters

I believe the designer is trying to show that the movie is about horror, revolt, and survival. The design says that these creatures are trying to eat your brain!!! The designer accomplishes this by showing a fanged creature with a exposed brain and a hoard of people at the bottom with weapons. They are trying to get me to attend by showing mayhem and destruction, which is common in our society today.

(After 1960)
Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark

I believe the goals of the designer are to show mystery, and adventure. The design shows a rugged set of people on a quest. The designer accomplishes this by showing a man with a whip, villains, and a beautiful woman. They use many geometric shapes and tones associated with the desert to show the adventure.

(Post millennial)
Blow

The designer is showing two people male and female laying in a tedious manner. The designer is also using money and a white substance coming up from the bottom of the poster (foreshadowing cocaine "blow"). They are trying to get me to attend probably by showing me a beautiful foreign actress and money.
